Trey Young, famous roping and general trainer, is coming to Free Spirit Stables at Rushing Winds Farm on March 3rd and 4th for a two day clinic.
Currently residing at his ranch, 3Y Ranch, in Crawfordviile, Florida, Trey has turned his passion in to a business. From general training to roping to demonstations and even a being on HRTV television, Trey has made a true reputation of being the "American Horseman".
CLINIC DETAILS:
Saturday, March 3, 2012 and Sunday, March 4, 2012
9:00am to 4:00pm - 1 hour for lunch (12pm-1pm)
Cost - $300 for both days. Includes free board (food and hay must be provided by attendee) and trailer parking.
Saturday, March 3rd: Trey will be focusing on Leg Positions, Seat Positions and Getting Horses Softer. He will prepare horses and riders for stops and turns the correct way along with how to set riders and horses up to get ready to work cattle.
Sunday, March 4th: Trey will provide an Introduction to Cattle and Learning to Read and Control Cattle. Giving you and your horse a job and a reason to make these stops and turns. This will make for a fun well-rounded clinic ensuring improvement for everyone.
Space will be limited to 15 riders, so make sure you sign up early. For those who would like to participate, we can provide a horse for and additional $25.00.
If you are interested in just observing, this option is available for $25.00 per day.

You would be amazed at how children seem to bond with these amazing animals; regardless of the size. Children see horses as friends and having fun. Even adults get to experience the same. Whether it be by watching their child(ren) in the ring on top of their horse learning new fundamentals or by being in the same ring on top of their own horse learning those same fundamentals. Horseback riding and caring goes further than meets the eye. For children, they learn responsibility and how to care for a living creature. We teach from the ground up...ground care (brushing, bathing, cleaning stalls, tacking, etc.) to responsible riding (self control, horse/pony control, inner and outer strength, etc.) which will go a long way in ones life. Children and adults also get the chance at making new friends here at the farm. Having friends that share the same passion creates even more stability and fun while being at the farm. We opened our doors, stalls and fields to everyone this past Sunday. We had pony rides, riding demonstrations, snacks, tours of the facilities, grooming demostrations and just fun.
The weather was great and the turn out was the same! It was great to meet all the new people that showed up. It's amazing what you can find so close to your house!
