MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS
CATHERINE WATSON
Catherine has been involved and working with horses since 1999 in Utah where she had the chance to live and teach horseback riding lessons to the girls coming to Trefoil Ranch. She was part of a horse staff of 5 that taught the riding lessons, the ground lessons, horse care, took care of the herd of horses (26 head), and took care of the property. The riding lessons were basic (walk, stop, turn, mounting) through intermediate (walk, trot, canter, ground polls, barrels) and all Western. The ground lessons covered grooming, mucking, tack care, horse information, and safety. She continued her education with horses and did private lessons then went on to colt breaking in Idaho.
As she primarily teaches Western, Catherine has also been experienced in teach English beginner through intermediate.

TREY DERAIMO
Trey DeRaimo - Trey is currently a student at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pa majoring in Elementary Education. He's been riding horses for 13 years and teaching lessons for over 5. He wants riding to first of all be safe but most importantly fun! He believes this comes from strong basics and building off the bond of horse and rider. He is currently eventing at the training level with his 6 year old, off the track, thoroughbred gelding named Wally with hopes of moving him up to the Preliminary level within the year. If eventing is your goal, we have the teacher for you!
